FAQ

Questions, answered straight

These are the questions people actually ask before they sign up. If yours is not here, message us and we will answer it in plain language.

What is IPTV and how is it different from cable?

IPTV sends television over your internet connection instead of a coaxial cable or a satellite dish. There is no technician visit, no box rental and no 2 year contract. You install an app on a device you already own, enter the login we send you, and the channels appear.

How much does NoraStream cost?

One month is $15, 6 months is $75 and 12 months is $120, all in Canadian dollars. The yearly plan works out to $10 a month. There are no setup fees and no hidden charges.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. You get 2 days free and we do not ask for a credit card. Message us on WhatsApp with your device type and we send the login within minutes.

How do I pay?

Interac e-Transfer. You send it from your regular Canadian bank app the same way you would pay a friend. We activate your account as soon as it lands.

What if I do not like it?

You have 7 days from payment to ask for a refund and we send your money back. That is on top of the free trial you get before paying anything.

How many channels are included?

Over 20,000 live channels from more than 50 countries, plus around 80,000 movies and series on demand. Everything is in one subscription and there are no add on packages.

Do you carry Canadian sports channels?

Yes. Sportsnet, Sportsnet One, TSN, TSN2, ESPN, NBA TV, NFL Network, beIN Sports and Sky Sports are all in the lineup. Pay per view cards for UFC and boxing are included at no extra cost.

Do you have Indian and Pakistani channels?

Yes. Star Plus, Zee TV, Sony, Colors, Star Bharat, Sun TV, Zee Punjabi, PTV, Geo and Hum are all included, along with the Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu movie channels.

Do you have Arabic channels?

Yes. MBC 1 through 4, MBC Drama, MBC Masr, Rotana, Al Jazeera, Al Arabiya, LBC, OSN and the Arabic sports networks are all in the lineup.

What internet speed do I need?

A steady 15 Mbps handles HD without trouble. For 4K you want 25 Mbps or more. Almost every internet plan sold in the GTA is well above that.

Which devices work with NoraStream?

Amazon Fire TV Stick, Android boxes, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Windows, Mac and MAG boxes. Samsung and LG Smart TVs work on 2018 models and newer. If a device runs apps and connects to the internet it will almost certainly work.

Can I watch on more than one TV at the same time?

One connection covers one screen at a time. If 2 people in the house want different channels at once you can add a second connection for a small amount. Message us and we sort it out.

Do I need a VPN?

Most customers in Canada do not use one and have no issues. Some internet providers throttle heavy video traffic, and if that happens to you a VPN usually fixes it. We will tell you honestly if we think you need one.

Why does my stream buffer?

9 times out of 10 it is Wi-Fi rather than the service. Move the device closer to the router or run an ethernet cable and the problem usually disappears. If it persists we move your account to a different server the same day.

Do you offer catch up and recording?

Most channels have 7 days of catch up built in, so you can go back and watch a game or a show you missed. The apps we recommend also let you record to a USB drive.

How fast do I get set up after paying?

Usually within a few minutes during the day. We send the login, you enter it in the app, and it works. The whole thing takes about 10 minutes on a Firestick.

How do I get help if something breaks?

WhatsApp us at 437 979 2576. A real person answers, including evenings and weekends. There is no ticket queue and no hold music.

Do you serve areas outside Toronto?

Yes. We are based in the GTA and most customers are in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham and Scarborough, but the service works anywhere in Canada with an internet connection.
